Harper Keehn is a traveling knife sharpener who has been working in the Northeast for nearly a decade.

His experience with knives goes far back: He was always playing with knives as a kid, and had a handy grandpa who would periodically sharpen our knives, that sort of thing. Then in his early twenties he worked on a ranch in Colorado where they did their own butchering. They had an older version of the same machine he now use, and he became the de-facto knife sharpener for the days when the ranch prepared their own meat (our pay was $50 per week and all the ground beef we wanted!).

When he came back to the east coast, he bought a small version of the same machine. A friend was managing a farmers' market in Cold Spring, NY and suggested he try working there. Right away there was a lot of demand and so he kept going back. That was almost a decade ago and since then it's slowly built into his main source of income. he mostly work on the weekends, so he has time to paint.
