Little Compton, RI - Mark your calendars for a summer of fun at the Sakonnet Green Market!
The Tiverton Farmers Market is celebrating its fifth anniversary this June and is expanding its offerings. This summer, the Tiverton Farmers Market (TFM) is collaborating with Sakonnet Vineyards to create a new event called the Sakonnet Green Market. This farmers market will take place on Thursday afternoons, from 3 PM to 6 PM, on the grounds of Sakonnet Vineyard, starting June 19th and continuing until August 28th.
You can enjoy a diverse range of vendors, including local farms and apiaries, food makers & producers. The lineup will feature bakers, local seafood producers, jams and jellies, BBQ sauces, spices, pasta, herbalists, fresh flowers, textiles, jewelry, pottery & ceramics, clothing, artists, and local non-profits.
The focus of TFM is to connect communities through the platform of a market. Join us Thursday afternoons at the vineyard! Stop by the tasting room to experience the growing wine list and menu. Enjoy a small plate from the kitchen, sip on a glass of wine, stroll through the grounds, and explore the market vendors. It’s a safe and enjoyable atmosphere in the countryside.
“We are thrilled to partner with Tiverton Farmers Market to bring the Sakonnet Green Market to life here at the vineyard. This collaboration is a celebration of local agriculture, community, and sustainability—values that are at the heart of everything we do. We look forward to welcoming neighbors, makers, and visitors to enjoy the best of our region in a setting that’s uniquely Sakonnet.” – Marissa Stashenko, Director of Operations
“The Little Rhody Pasta team is excited to join the Sakonnet Green Market on Thursdays this summer and bring our fresh products to Little Compton. Little Rhody Pasta has grown its customer reach and gross revenue significantly since joining Tiverton Farmers Market. Meeting our customers weekly at the farmers markets have been so gratifying and have transformed our business”. – David Lopes, Little Rhody Pasta & Winner of the Excellent in Business Award from the Greater Newport County Chamber of Commerce.
”We are fortunate to be collaborating with Sakonnet Vineyard not only to bring a new midweek farmers market to Little Compton, but to create a social atmosphere for patrons to safely shop, relax and enjoy the vineyard”. – Meredith Brower, TFM Director and Market Manager
Attendees can expect to be greeted by a long windy entrance into the vineyard, parking on a grassy field and a short walk to the tasting rooms and market square. Bring a blanket to sit out on the event field or nestle into the tables and chairs out on the lawn.

About Sakonnet Vineyard: Sakonnet Vineyard spans 169 picturesque acres in Little Compton, Rhode Island, with more than 20 acres dedicated to producing award-winning wines. Planted in 1975, Sakonnet is the oldest vineyard in the region and plays a significant role in the developing wine industry. The team at Sakonnet is dedicated to producing high-quality, sustainable wines that showcase the region's special character through careful vineyard management and patience while honoring core values of agriculture, preservation, and community.
Named “Best Vineyard” inBoston Magazine's New England Travel Awards, Sakonnet is a “day tripper’s paradise,” where guests can sip their favorite Sakonnet wines at the vineyard’s tasting room, enjoy a variety of light bites from the café, and stroll the expansive grounds.
